The Center for Business Research and Business Support (BSA) has just organized the seminar "Green Start-up - The journey to create young agricultural entrepreneurs" with the participation of many experts and start-up businesses.

At the seminar, a number of young people starting out in the field of agriculture with initial success shared their knowledge and experiences related to production and business projects associated with indigenous agricultural resources.

With the brand name "Tu Bong fruit cake", Ms. Nguyen Thi Cac Thuy, Director of Tay Cat Co., Ltd (Dong Thap), said the most interesting thing since participating in the competition Agricultural startup project - Innovation Since the creation of 2018 until now, the company's products are almost present at domestic and international terminals at southern airports such as Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh, Da Nang, Tan Son Nhat... Particularly at Can Tho airport, products account for almost 50%.

“Recently, a regular customer returned to Germany and asked me why I saw a lot of products in the airport from the company, I don't know if it was from Tay Cat… I was very proud. Actually, between Vietnam and Thailand, this country does very good communication about dried fruit. Tourists go to Thai airport many dried fruit products and they make brands from there. With post-dried fruit products, it creates a unique Vietnamese identity,” said Thuy.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huong, owner of the project of freeze-dried vegetable powder in Ho Chi Minh City, which won the first prize in 2019, said that in the early days of starting a business due to weak capital, small capacity and insufficient resources to obtain EU certification. , the US should read it on its own and then apply it in its own workshop. After three years of construction with the advice of experts from BSA center, getting certification very quickly…

According to young entrepreneurs, to be able to find a foothold in the market, step by step sustainable development, from the beginning, it is necessary to use indigenous agricultural resources in the most economical and smartest way. At the same time, it must be manufactured according to standards from the very beginning.

More importantly, start-ups need to be supported by organizations and large enterprises in building production processes, corporate governance, trade promotion, communication...

Ms. Vu Kim Anh, in charge of the Startup Club Network (belonging to BSA), said that after 10 years of establishment through the playground, the competition for Agricultural Startup-Innovation Projects has been nearly completed. 1,000 project owners and start-ups across the country were born.

Many big startups are constantly developing, building standards such as HACCP, ISO, FDA ... have brought Vietnamese agricultural products to many fastidious markets such as Japan, USA, Australia, Korea, EU...
